Here are some good questions to ask a ceremony location.
Our answers are highlighted in Bold.
1) Is my wedding date available?
2) Are there other dates available near it?
3) Is membership required? No
4) Can we use our own minister ? Yes! We allow you to bring in your
own minister/clergy/pastor. We require a copy of his letter of
ordination and reference on their church letterhead.
If you need a minister we can also recommend a Clergy Service.
5) Is the site handicapped accessible? Yes.
6) What are the normal fees for clergy ? $350.00 approx.
7) Is permission required in the case of different religions? No
8) Is permission required in the case of divorce? No
9) Is there time available for rehearsal? Yes, 1 hour.
10) May we write our own vows? Yes.
11) Do our vows need to be approved? No.
12) Are there special ceremonies available, i.e. Candlelight service? Yes
13) How many people will this site hold? 170 persons
14) Does it have an organ? No
15) Is there any restriction on the type of music we have? No
16) What denomination is your chapel ?
Fleur de Lis Chapel is Non-Denominational. It is a Historic Site built
in 1910.
17) Can we bring in our own flowers ?
Yes ~ however the removal of our flowers and the set up of your
flowers will need to take place during your "reserved time frame."
Fresh flowers cannot be inserted in with our silk flowers as it stains
them.
18) Can we bring in our own vendors ? (ie: photographer, music, etc...)
Yes
19) Is your site air conditioned / heated ? Yes - to both
20) Do you provide the aisle runner? Yes
Is there a charge? No
21) Will there be more than one wedding on my date?
Yes - very likely, however we allow enough buffer time between
each wedding that you normally will not see another wedding party.
22) Is set up and break down of flowers & decorations WE bring included
in the time frame we've booked ? Yes
23) Is there a place for the bride & groom to wait before the ceremony
begins? Yes
24) Are there any restrictions on photographers/videographers during (or
after) the ceremony? No
25) If it rains, is there room indoors to greet guests? Yes
26) Who is responsible for cleaning after the ceremony?
Any extra decor you bring is your responsibility. We clean up pre-
existing decorations already at our chapel & rose petals.
27) Are there restrictions on tossing confetti or bird seed?
Fresh petals, birdseed, and bubbles are allowed outside...
Fresh and artificial petals are allowed inside down the aisle runner.
28) Is alcohol permitted? No
29) Is there enough parking spaces available for our guests ? Yes
30) Are the decorations in the pictures included ? Yes, since we can
accommodate up to 3 weddings a day, we encourage our brides to
use the decor we have provided. This will allow our brides to use
their time at the chapel for pictures before and after the ceremony.
