Frequently Asked Questions
  • Can people of different backgrounds be married at your chapel ?
Yes ~ The Fleur de Lis Chapel is a Historic Site built in 1910 and is non-denominational.  People from all religious
backgrounds can hold their wedding here.  There is no formal membership or courses required, to be married at our
location.  For additional information on our Historic Site you can see our

  • May I use my own minister ?
Yes - you may use your own minister, however they must be a licensed minister and be approved by our chapel.  If you
need a minister we can highly recommend the
Clergy Referral Service.


  • How many people does your chapel hold ?
Our chapel holds up to 150 guests.  Plenty of free parking is available.


  • How many attendants may we have ?
We have a very large stage and have accommodated up to 10 Bridesmaids and 10 Groomsmen... plus Flower Girls and
Ring Bearers.


  • Are we allowed to bring in our own flowers and decorations ?
Our Chapel is beautifully decorated with creamy baroque columns topped with silk floral bouquets as you begin your walk
down the aisle.   Pews are decorated with swags of chiffon and white silk flowers with candles poised above each pew.  A
spacious stage in front of the alter is illuminated by a pair of candelabras laced with crystals.  The high vaulted ceilings of
rustic wood are graced with an antique crystal chandelier and the rich oak stage offers a timeless sense of comfort.

We encourage our brides to use our floral arrangements, however, you can bring in your own flowers providing you allow
additional time for our flowers to be removed and yours to be set up during your reserved time frame.  Fresh flowers
cannot be mixed in with our silk bouquets, and all additional decorations need to be approved by our chapel.


  • Is there a Brides Room ?   ...Grooms Room ?
The Bride has a private room and restroom.   Brides Maids have a separate room attached to the Bride.   A Grooms room
is also provided.


  • Can we have a ceremony only ?    
Yes ~ The Fleur de Lis chapel prides itself on offering the best service for ceremonies only.

  • Can we bring in our own vendors ?   (ie: photographer, musicians, videographer, florist...)
You may bring in your own outside vendors for music, photographer, flowers, and videography.

  • Do you have an organ or CD player ?
We have a CD player you are welcome to use, but we do not have an organ.   You can also hire a fabulous professional
harpist
or you may bring in your own live musicians.  


  • What is required to reserve a wedding date ?
$695.00 retainer fee by personal check or cash and a signed contract.   Balance is due 2 months prior to your wedding
date. Weddings are required to be booked at least 3 months in advance.  Reservations are accepted up to 1 year
ahead.  


  • What days of the week can we have a wedding ?
Any day of the week, based on availability.


  • Will there be other weddings going on at your chapel at the same time as ours ?
No ~ When you book your wedding at our Fleur de Lis Wedding Chapel, your wedding party has exclusive use of our
entire facility during your time frame booked.  We want to personally cater to your wedding only at this time.
However, it is very likely we will have additional weddings scheduled the same day, but during a different time frame.      


  • Does your chapel have air conditioning ?    ... and heat ?
Yes ~ to both.   We have air conditioning for those warm days and heat for the cooler weather.


  • Can we have rose petals down the aisle for the bride ?
Yes ~ either fresh petals or silk petals are allowed down the white aisle runner inside our chapel... and we provide
someone to clean them up.   


  • Can we have a grand exit with the tossing of rose petals or bubbles ?
Yes ~ we have a beautiful tradition of sounding our bell tower as the bride and groom make their grand exit, and we
encourage the tossing of fresh rose petals, bubbles, or birdseed.   (rice is not permitted)


  • Do you have a Wedding Director who can assist us ?
Yes ~ We provide a Wedding Director for the day of your ceremony and rehearsal to help make your special day go as
smoothly and stress free as possible.   We work with you prior to your rehearsal to get your details so that we know we
are coordinating it the way you want it to go.   Our Wedding Director will also assist you with any questions you have, as
well as give you ideas and suggestions to help make this day be the beginning of your "Happily Ever After".  Please see

  • Can we have a rehearsal ?
Yes ~ our 2 and 3 hour packages include an additional 1 hour rehearsal that our Wedding Director coordinates for you,
to help insure that your wedding goes smoothly.   


  • How do we get a Marriage License ?
Please see our special "Marriage License Tab" that will link you to vital information in getting your marriage license.   
Brides & Grooms must provide a marriage license issued by the State of California at the time of the rehearsal.   


  • Is there a waiting list ?
There is no waiting list, as you reserve a day and time that best suits your needs depending upon availability.  Weddings
are required to be booked at least 3 months in advance, and we accept reservations up to 1 year prior to your date.
